Attendance Matters:

During the 2023/2024 school year attendance will be a big focus for our campus.  It is essential that students are at school every day.  Last year 18% of our students were considered Truant, which means they missed more than 18 days of school.  This greatly impacts a child's academics and the resources we are able to provide for our students.  Below are a few reminders going into the school year:

  • Try to take vacations during our designated school breaks as much as possible.
  • You are only required to stay home for an illness if you are vomiting, have diarrhea and/or a fever.
  • Please use Independent Study if you do have a preplanned vacation.

PBIS Focus for the Month:

As a PBIS Platinum school, we focus on positively reinforcing behaviors across
campus.  We look for students to show respect, make good decisions, and solve problems appropriately.  We have added a new amazing incentive to support PBIS and that is our Book Vending Machine.  Students will receive book vending coins throughout the year for exhibiting these positive behaviors.  We hope this is a nice addition for our students that not only incentivizes their amazing behavior but also encourages a love of reading!  Go Hawks!
School Site Council Vote for Approval:
Thank you to everyone who showed interest in being on our School Site Council.  We are required to vote for approval for each member of our committee.  Please use the link below to vote for approval of each School Site Council Member.  Our official first School Site Council meeting will be on Thursday, September 14th from 2:15-3:15.

 Message from Principal Duncan~

What a wonderful first two days back on campus!  We were so impressed with how well all of our students transitioned back to school and were ready for learning and fun.  We loved meeting all of our new TK and Kindergarten students during these first few days and thank you to our parents for a smooth arrival and dismissal.  Over the next few weeks, we will be practicing our PBIS expectations around campus and getting to know each of our students personally to support building a community that is welcoming and safe for all.  We can't wait to see what this year has in store for us and are eager to hit the ground running!

Attendance Matters~

As we embark on a new school year, I am delighted to announce the launch of the district-wide "Every Day Matters" Attendance Campaign, an initiative aimed at emphasizing the crucial role of regular school attendance in the academic success of our students.

We firmly believe that consistent attendance plays a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of each child. It lays the foundation for their growth, fosters a sense of responsibility, and cultivates a lifelong love for learning. By attending school every day, your child gains the essential tools to overcome challenges and seize the opportunities that lie ahead.

To support you in ensuring your child's attendance remains steadfast, we have curated a wealth of valuable resources on our “Every Day Matters” website. These resources are designed to empower you with practical tips, strategies, and inspiration to encourage your child to embrace the educational journey with enthusiasm and dedication.

Our school office is always here to lend a helping hand, so do not hesitate to reach out should you require any assistance or encounter challenges in ensuring your child's consistent attendance. We understand that life can sometimes throw unexpected hurdles our way, but with your support and our unwavering commitment to your child's success, together, we can overcome any obstacles that come our way!

2023-2024 Annual Parent Notice: IMPORTANT~

This is a friendly reminder to complete the required Annual Family Notice for your child.

We are making a slight change to how we handle things. Instead of paper notices, we are going digital with our Annual Family Notice. It is convenient and eco-friendly!

  1. Head over to the PowerSchool Parent Portal from your browser. If you need assistance with your login credentials, don't worry! Contact your student's school office, and they'll gladly assist you in logging in.
  2. Once logged in, find the "Annual Family Notice" in the left navigation menu.
  3. Click on the following link to review all the essential details: 2023-2024 Annual Family Notice.
  4. After you've read through it all, confirm you have been informed of your rights by selecting the appropriate radio buttons.
  5. Finally, submit the form.
  6. Repeat the above steps for all your Roseville City School District students.

If you have any questions or encounter any issues, please don't hesitate to contact our school office. They're always here to lend a helping hand!

 Message from Mrs.Duncan~

I hope this message finds you well and filled with excitement as we gear up for another amazing school year! On behalf of the entire staff at Kaseberg Elementary, I extend a warm welcome back to all our returning families. To those who are joining us for the first time, we are thrilled to have you become a part of our Hawk community.

As we prepare to embark on this new academic school year, I wanted to share some important messages that will shape the learning experience for your children this school year.

Building Positive Relationships:

At Kaseberg Elementary, we firmly believe that strong relationships are the foundation of a thriving educational environment. Whether it's between students, parents, teachers, or staff, we encourage open communication, trust, and respect. We understand that learning flourishes when students feel supported, valued, and safe in their school community.  This year our staff will begin implementing Restorative Practices in combination with our PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) to ensure all students feel supported and a part of their classroom community. We are proud to continue recognition as a PBIS Platinum School!

Setting High Expectations:

We believe that every child has the potential for greatness. With that in mind, we set high expectations for all our students. We are committed to providing a challenging and rigorous academic program that encourages critical thinking, learning from mistakes, and fostering a growth mindset. By striving for excellence, we aim to help our students unlock their full potential and prepare them for success in their future endeavors.

Chasing Greatness:

Our school's vision and theme this school year is built upon the idea of "Chasing Greatness." We encourage our Kaseberg Hawks to aim high, dream big, and pursue their passions with determination and perseverance. Excellence is not a destination; it's a continuous journey of growth and improvement. We inspire our students to challenge themselves, embrace new opportunities, and push their boundaries to reach new heights.

As we begin this school year, let’s work together in creating a positive, nurturing, and academically enriching environment for our students. I encourage you to stay involved in your child's education, join our amazing PTC, attend our fun school events, and communicate with your child's teachers regularly. Together, we can make a significant impact on your child's success here at Kaseberg Elementary.

Please know that my door is always open, and I welcome your feedback, suggestions, and ideas. Let's make this school year unforgettable as we chase greatness together!
