Message from Principal Duncan~

We have officially completed the first trimester of school and today marks the first day of trimester two.  The first trimester flew by and we have so much to celebrate.  Over the past 10 weeks, we have focused on the Character Traits of being Respectful and having Empathy here on campus.  In addition,  students got to partake in our Fall Festival, our Wild Things Animal Assembly, and raise funds with our fun Penny Wars Fundraiser.

In trimester two, we will focus on students showing Responsibility, Caring, and having Integrity.   We are excited to bring our Winter Dance back in January and share in the Holiday Spirit with our Annual Woodecreek Santa's Helpers showcase.  We can't wait to see the growth of our students this second trimester and Thank You for supporting your child and our little school community!

Parent-Teacher Conferences Next Week~

It is that time of the year and we are holding Parent-Teacher Conferences next week 11/13-11/17.  Below are a few reminders for the week and the Bell Schedule for student dismissal:

  1. Report cards will be emailed home on Friday, November 17th at 3:00 p.m.
  2. Parents are required to attend these meetings to see how their child is progressing on grade-level expectations.
  3. We look forward to sharing your child's growth and success so far this school year!

Attendance Focus and Challange~
Positive attendance is a huge focus this school year here at Kaseberg and ESSENTIAL for a student's success at school.  Due to this, we have classroom rewards and incentives for classes that reach a 95% attendance rate each month.  Ask your child what their class reward will be this month.  Help your child's class reach their goal by doing the following:
  • Independent Study if your child is going to be absent for more than 3 days in a row.
  • Take family vacations during designated holiday breaks.
  • Continue to send your child to school with minor cold-like symptoms. (no fever and no diarrhea).
Good attendance is the #1 indicator of a student's ability to be successful in school and reading at grade level by 3rd grade.  We've got this!
