 Message from Mrs.Duncan~

Fall is officially here, and we are already halfway through the first trimester! This school year is moving quickly, and our Hawks are off to such a strong start. It has been wonderful to see so many students living out what it means to be a HAWK—showing respect, making positive choices around campus, and working hard to solve problems in the right way.

October is bringing lots of excitement to Kaseberg! We’re looking forward to our Annual Fall Festival, the first Book Fair of the year, and a high-energy BMX assembly. We can’t wait to celebrate the season with our amazing students and families!

PBIS Character Trait of the Month "Growth Mindset"~

This month, our schoolwide focus is on the character trait of Growth Mindset. Teachers will be helping students learn what this looks and sounds like in the classroom. At Kaseberg, we believe in Raising the Bar—showing students that with grit, determination, and perseverance, they are capable of amazing growth.

Here are some ways you can support your child in building a Growth Mindset at home:

  • Encourage effort over perfection: Celebrate hard work and persistence, not just the final result.
  • Use “yet” language: If your child says, “I can’t do this,” help them reframe it as, “I can’t do this yet.”
  • Model perseverance: Share examples of times when you had to keep trying to succeed.
  • Praise problem-solving: Highlight your child’s strategies and creative thinking.
  • Emphasize learning from mistakes: Remind your child that mistakes are opportunities to grow.
