 Message from Principal Duncan~

What a wonderful first full week back with students for the 2022-2023 school year!  Our staff and I loved welcoming students back on campus and we hit the ground running.  This past week students got to know each other with their morning meetings in all classrooms, practiced our PBIS behavior expectations around campus, and got back into the swing of things.  This school year our staff and I are eager to continue to bring a high level of academic expectations for our students, but also provide an environment where all students feel loved, cared for, and celebrated.  We have much to celebrate from last year and we are looking forward to continuing with another great school year!

 Message from Principal Duncan:

Welcome back to the 2022-2023 school year at Kaseberg Elementary!  I have butterflies in my stomach in anticipation of our student's return and getting this school year started.  I truly hope that your summer was filled with family time, vacations, memory-making, and some relaxation as well.  Our staff and I have been working hard these past few weeks to ensure our classrooms are ready for our student's return and to ensure we have the best kick-off yet for the school year.

This summer we have been completing many projects around campus.  These projects included refurbishing our new MPR floors, going into contract for our brand new digital Marquee (which will be installed by December) and best of all...there will be a 6-foot fence installed around our playground this fall to ensure our students remain safe and secure during the school day!  These are all going to be great new additions for the upcoming school year.

As always, Thank You to our Kaseberg community for always supporting our staff, students, and school.  We are excited about what this school year will bring and we can't wait to be back with our new and returning Hawks.  Keep being amazing and we will see you on August 11th bright and early!  Go Hawks!

COVID Protocol Updates~

The safety of our Kaseberg families, staff, and students are the first priority here at Kaseberg Elementary.  Our goal is to ensure our community remains safe and that students are attending school and have little learning loss during these times.  As of this past Friday, there have been updates to our COVID Protocol so please read thoroughly the updates LINKED HERE since the changes will greatly affect student attendance.

Commonly Asked Questions FAQ:
  1. If my child is exposed at school to a Positive COVID case can I keep them home and their sibling in another class to be safe?
    1. The student directly exposed can choose to quarantine and it will be excused, but the sibling not directly exposed MUST remain in school and the absences will be unexcused if chosen to keep home.
  2. If my child is exposed to a Positive COVID case at home and the positive COVID case cannot isolate, how long is my child out of school for (unvaccinated student)?
    1. If your child cannot isolate from the positive individual, they will need to quarantine until the positive case’s isolation period is over. If your child remains free of symptoms at the conclusion of the positive individual’s isolation period they may return to in-person learning.
  3. If my child is going to be absent for ANY reason (COVID-related or not) what should I do?
    1. Please call our front office if your child is going to be absent at all. Our secretaries have been having a huge increase in the number of absences daily and they are required to call every single family to find out their reason for their absence. Most days are between 40-80 families needing to be called to investigate their absence.
If your child is feeling well and has no symptoms we HIGHLY ENCOURAGE them to be in school since we are no longer excusing and using a Modified quarantine.

2022-2023 Student Registration~

We are currently accepting priority 2022-2023 student registration.  Please make sure you register your child no later than January 28th, 2022 to ensure your child has a spot here at Kaseberg Elementary.  It is imperative to register during this priority window to ensure we can staff appropriately for the next school year.
