 Message from Principal Duncan~

The past eight weeks with our new and returning Hawks have been nothing short of AMAZING! Our school community has come together in ways I could not have imagined, and each day I am reminded just how fortunate I am to serve as the principal of all 540 of our incredible Hawks.

In these first eight weeks, we have already witnessed tremendous growth in our students, along with a growing belief in themselves and what they are capable of achieving. It has been inspiring to watch them step into new challenges, discover their strengths, and recognize their own potential.

Thank you for partnering with us, supporting your child, and supporting our school throughout this year of growth. When our families, staff, and students come together with a shared belief in what is possible, there is truly no limit to what we can accomplish.

We are also incredibly proud to share that our school is being highlighted and used as a model across the state of California for what is possible when a community and its staff come together to create meaningful opportunities and better outcomes for students.

It gives me goosebumps to think about what the next four or five years will bring for our Kaseberg Hawks. We are just getting started, and I couldn't be more excited about the journey ahead!

Enjoy this special video highlighting what it means to be a Kaseberg Hawk! 💙🦅

Progress Reports Friday, Sept 25th~

Teachers will be sending home Progress Reports this Friday in your child’s Friday folder.

Progress Reports are designed to provide families with a snapshot of how your child is doing academically and behaviorally during the first six weeks of school. This is a great opportunity to celebrate your child’s successes and identify any areas where continued growth and support may be needed.

Please take some time to review the Progress Report with your child, and reach out to your child’s teacher if you have any questions or would like additional information about their progress.

URGENT Parking Lot Reminders~

Thank you, Kaseberg families, for helping us keep our parking lots safe! We have seen a big improvement with families following our drop-off and pick-up expectations, and we truly appreciate everyone’s cooperation and patience.

We have recently received a few concerns about vehicles entering both our front and back parking lots through the EXIT ONLY areas. This creates a significant safety concern, especially during our busiest arrival and dismissal times.

Please help us keep all of our Hawks safe by following these important reminders:

  • DO NOT enter through an EXIT ONLY area to bypass traffic or access the parking lot.
  • Please follow all posted speed limits, especially when driving on Porter.
  • Please DO NOT park in any red zones at any time.
  • Give yourself a few extra minutes during arrival and dismissal so you can safely follow the flow of traffic.

With more than 500 students arriving and leaving campus each day, everyone’s patience and cooperation make a difference. Thank you for doing your part to keep our students, families, and staff safe! ❤️🖤

 Important Information~

Every Minute Matters-Arriving on Time~

Kaseberg Families, we appreciate your partnership in helping our students start each school day feeling prepared, settled, and ready to learn!

Over the past two weeks, we have seen an increase in students arriving after the school day has begun, with approximately 40–50 students arriving between 7:50–8:15 a.m. each morning. When many students arrive late at the same time, it creates congestion in our front office and can further delay students from getting to their classrooms and beginning their day.

Here are a few important reminders to help our Hawks have a successful start each morning:

  • 🕗 School begins promptly at 7:45 a.m. Students should be through the front gate and ready to begin their school day by 7:45 a.m. Students arriving after this time are considered tardy.
  • 🎒 Morning routines matter! The beginning of the day often includes putting away belongings, lunch count, morning meetings or circles, and the start of academic instruction.
  • 📚 Being on time protects learning time. Even arriving 5–10 minutes late can mean missing an important part of instruction or the routines that help students transition successfully into learning.
  • ❤️ A calm start can make a big difference. Arriving on time gives students an opportunity to settle in alongside their classmates and begin their day feeling confident and prepared.

We understand that mornings can be busy and that occasional delays happen! Our goal is to partner with families to ensure every student has the strongest possible start to their day.
