 Principal Message from Mrs.Duncan~

Happy Monday and welcome to the final full month of the 22/23 school year!  This time of the year is filled with excitement, end-of-the-year school activities/events, and anticipation for the summer months ahead.  I love this time of the year as it allows me to reflect on the accomplishments of the school year and check off the goals that our staff made for ourselves at the start of the year.  Let's make these last five weeks count and end the school year filled with smiles, laughter, and tons of learning along the way!

Important Information~

Field Day Fun Sign-Ups...We Need Your Help~
Our students have worked so hard this year on reaching their goals and focusing on our three PBIS Expectations of Showing Respect, Making Good Decisions, and Solving Problems.  Our students are so close to earning the final end-of-the-year HUGE rewards of a field day/water day and we need your help to make this possible!


Friday, June 2nd we plan to host a fun field day/water day for all of our students as a celebration of their hard work.  We are needing parent volunteers to make this possible.  If you are able to volunteer and help on this fun day please sign up using the link below.


Kindergarten and 5th Grade Promotion Ceremonies~
We are excited to host our end-of-the-year ceremonies for our Kindergarten and 5th-grade Promotions.  Please save the dates for our promotion ceremonies to ensure you can be there.  We are excited to celebrate our student's accomplishments and promoting on to their next grades.

OPEN House Coming Soon~
Our big OPEN HOUSE event will be held on Wednesday, May 10th from 5:30-6:30.  During this event you will have the opportunity to walk through your child's classroom and see what they have been working on this school year.  In addition, we will have SNOWIE KING on campus for purchase.  We hope to see you all there!

Teacher Appreciation Week May 1st-May 5th~

National BIKE/WALK to School Day~


This Wednesday, May 3rd is National Bike/Walk to school day.  We are encouraging all students to bike and walk to school this Wednesday.  We will have music playing and we will be handing out mini prizes for any student who bikes or walks to school.  Also, our AMAZING Superintendent, Derk Garcia, will be helping out at our crosswalk with Mr.Wayne.  We can't wait to see you all joining in on the fun!

End of the Year Parent Survey~
Last Friday you all should have received a paper copy of our end-of-the-year survey.  This survey is used to get feedback on what we are doing well as a site and where we can grow and support our families better.  Please ensure you fill out a paper copy or you can fill out the digital copy linked below.  ONLY FILL OUT ONE OPTION!  We appreciate your feedback and support!

Any family that fills out the Parent Survey, students will receive an Otter Pop.  The due date is April 28th!

  • The Character of the Month for April-Perseverance
    • Ask your child what this Character Trait means and how they can show Perseverance outside of school?

  • Book Vending Machine has Arrived~
    • Our PBIS Book Vending Machine has arrived.  This will be used next year as a big incentive for students who are exemplifying PBIS traits. More information to come next school year!  We are so excited for this new addition and for our students to earn books as a reward!  



Parent Night focused on Finances~

We are excited to offer a parent night focused on best practices with finances.  This will include ways to budget, ways to save for college, and ways to use your money wisely!  We have an outside financial advisor who will be presenting this information and we encourage all families to join.  

We will be raffling off a $100 gas gift card for those that attend.  We look forward to seeing you all there!

Sports-a-Thon Update/Date Change~

Way to go Kaseberg students!  You are rocking it and doing awesome raising funds for our new campus outdoor learning tables.  We currently have raised $10,300 and are almost to our $15,000 goal.  We have moved the Sports-a-thon event to this Thursday, March 30th due to rain being forecasted tomorrow. We officially have four more days to fundraise and the current results are below for each class...GO HAWKS!!

PBIS School-Wide Reward~
Our amazing students filled up the Caught Cha Tower to the halfway point and earned a school-wide reward.  Our student council voted for a Technology Day this Friday, March 31st.  Please refer to the letter below for specific information on what is allowed to be brought to school, this was also put in Friday Folders last Friday as well.  We can't wait for the fun and awesome job for our Hawks for earning over 5,000 Caught Cha's this year so far!

 Message from Principal Duncan~

What a fun and exciting week we had last week here on campus.  Students celebrated Read Across America week with dress-up days and a super fun Literacy Night.  Thank you to all of our families that came out for our Literacy Night to celebrate reading and have some fun with our teaching staff.  It was a huge success and we had over 200 students attend!  

This month we are focusing on the Character Trait of Collaboration!  All of our classrooms will be focusing on teaching our students how to work effectively with their peers, share ideas and work as a team!





Important Information~

Sports-a-Thon Fundraiser 3/13-3/28~
It is that time of the year for our biggest fundraiser of the school year and our student's favorite event!  Our goal is to raise $15,000!!  That is only $50 per student needed.  This money will be used to purchase eight concrete tables for our quad to support outside learning opportunities.  Read the information below for information on how to register your child for this fundraiser and prizes your child could win based on how much they raise!! Next Thursday, March 16th is our next public SSC and ELAC meeting.  We will be discussing the district and site funding and getting feedback on how to implement these resources at the site level.  Anyone is welcome to attend these meetings and we encourage the Kaseberg public to get feedback and ideas.

Monday, February 13th

 Message from Principal Duncan~

Happy Monday Kaseberg Families!  We are nearing the end of Trimester two of the school year and report cards will be going home in early March.  We are seeing tremendous growth in our students academically and we are so proud.  Our students have been gearing up for Random Acts of Kindness week starting next week and we are focusing this month on the Character Trait of having Integrity.  During the third trimester, we will have some exciting new fundraisers and school events heading our way, which include a HUGE Literacy Night on March 1st led by our teachers and our annual Sports-a-thon fundraiser at the end of March.  We are looking forward to an eventful couple of months ahead!

Very Urgent~23/24 Student Registration~

If you have not registered your child for the 2023-2024 school year, please do so by Friday, February 17th.  This is the priority registration window.  We will be creating our staffing list for 2023-2024 in March and this is based on how many students are registered for the next school year.  To ensure your child has a spot we MUST have their registration filled out ASAP.  Please reach out to our office staff if you need support.   


Random Acts of Kindness Week 2/14-2/17~
It is important that we teach our students the importance of being kind to others and helping those in our community.  Our entire campus will be celebrating Random Acts of Kindness week on campus and this will be encouraged at home.  We encourage families to partake in these daily Acts of Kindness at home and around our community.

Come out and join us for dinner at Panda Express!  All funds raised go toward our new picnic tables for the quad.  They will be donating 20% of purchases back to our site.

 Message from Principal Duncan~

Welcome back from a wonderful, long winter break!  I hope you all had a chance to relax, spend time with family and create some holiday memories.  We sure did miss our Hawks and are looking forward to a successful second half of the school year.  We have some fun PTC events heading our way, such as our first skate night since COVID, and a teacher-run Literacy Night in March.  This month of January we are focusing on the Character Trait of being CARING.  Talk with your child this week about ways that they can show this trait at home and in different settings around our community.  We can't wait to see our students tomorrow and look forward to being back together!

CHIPS for Kids Toy Drive~
THANK YOU to our amazing community for all of your donations to the CHIPS for Kids Toy drive during the month of December.  We were able to donate an astounding 186 toys to families in need.  Way to go and awesome job giving to others in our community!

 Message from Principal Duncan~

We are in the final week before heading into the Holiday break!  Our students and staff have been busy with tons of holiday cheer and many events on campus over these past few weeks.  The amazing Woodcreek High School made a visit to our campus this past Friday, putting on a wonderful performance and giving every student on campus gifts.  Seeing the smiling faces of every student brought so much happiness to our campus.  In addition to receiving, our students have also been donating to the Chips For Kids event and we have been overflowing with donations, which is wonderful to see!  Thank you all for giving to our community during this time of the year!  

I hope you all have a wonderful final couple of days before we head out on the holiday break!

This Wednesday, December 14th our 5th graders will be performing their 5th-grade play and our Music program will be performing their music ensemble from 6:00-7:00 in our MPR.  We encourage all Kaseberg families to attend and enjoy the show.  Our students have been working so hard these past few months and are eager to show off their hard work!  We look forward to seeing you all there.

Welcome back from our Thanksgiving Break!  This past week was so nice to put work aside, spend time with family and enjoy the start of our holiday season.  I hope all of our Kaseberg families enjoyed your week off and found time to focus on family and time for yourself.  We have a short three and a half weeks left until our next mini-vacation, but it will be a busy time for our site.  We have so many exciting holiday activities and events this month to spread some Holiday Cheer here at Kaseberg for our staff and students.  Let's have an AMAZING month of December and I look forward to being back on campus with you all this week! 💛

PBIS Character Trait of the Month~
For the month of November and December, our students in all classrooms have been learning about the Character Trait of being RESPONSIBLE.  Our students have been receiving Caught'Cha tickets when they have been caught exemplifying this trait on campus.  We look forward to celebrating our Character Award recipients at the end of this month for the two students in each class that have consistently shown the trait of being Responsible here at Kaseberg!  Go Hawks! Below are some ways that you can support your child with being Responsible at home...
